My name is Bonny Reid. It was nearly five years ago, when I became pregnant with and experienced the birth of my own daughter, that I began my journey of providing support to expectant families. With a background in Social Work (BSW from Meredith College and MSW from the University of Maryland at Baltimore), I had happily worked for many years in STD/HIV education and counseling. However, when my own baby was born 6.5 weeks premature and I experienced my own transformation into motherhood, my passion for working with families during pregnancy and postpartum was ignited.

As a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE), DONA-Trained Doula, and an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), I believe in the incredible power of women, babies, birth and breastfeeding. I believe in supporting the unique needs and desires that will enable each family to have a safe, healthy, and satisfying birth and breastfeeding experience. I believe that every woman should feel empowered to become informed and communicate openly with members of her support team to feel confident about decisions she will help make for herself and her baby. I believe that every mother, whether expectant, laboring, or with her new babe in arms, deserves to feel listened to, respected, supported, affirmed and loved.
